The Heads of State and ministers who attended the meeting in Oslo recognised the role played by The Prince of Wales and the work of the PRP in bringing the forest agenda to the attention of world leaders, business and the NGO community.
The PRP will now maintain a watching brief as the Governments and NGOs take the process forward. In addition, the work with the public, private and NGO sectors to reduce human pressures on forests will continue.

International Conference on the Major Forest Basins
 
The PRP Directors attended the International Conference on the Major Forest Basins in Paris last month. The conference, opened by French President Nicolas Sarkozy, was the first major international meeting since the Copenhagen Summit on climate change. Fifty-four countries, representing the world's major forest basins and the main donor countries for forest preservation met to deepen and implement a *REDD+ partnership.

ArtisZen Gallery signs up to support emergency action for rainforests ahead of the climate change talks in Copenhagen in December this year.
